I am a PhD student at TU Wien, advised by Dr. Stefan Neumann. I work on problems at the intersection of fair machine learning and theoretical computer science.
Previously, I earned my MSc. in Artifical Intelligence at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, graduating as valedictorian. My thesis (directed by Dr. Carlos Castillo) contributed the first algorithm for accurately determining post-release outcomes, making recidivism risk assessments more accurate, fair, and interpretable throughout prisons in Catalonia. This algorithm has been adopted by the state government to compute recidivism statistics.
If you're interested in a gentle introduction to algorithmic fairness, you may check the programming exercises I developed for the FATE Course offered at UPF.
